Getting Here

Sawnee Mountain is located just 40 miles North of Atlanta in beautiful Cumming, Georgia.


Currently there are two parking areas and trailheads. One located at the new Visitor Center at 4075 Spot Road. The other is located at 2500 Bettis Tribble Gap Road.
 

DIRECTIONS

From Atlanta:
Take GA-400 North to exit 15 (Bald Ridge Marina Rd/Cumming). Turn left, heading towards downtown Cumming. At the third traffic light, take a right on Bettis Tribble Gap Road (City of Cumming clock tower will be on your right). Go approximately 3 miles and the west entrance to Sawnee Mountain Preserve will be on the right. For the Visitor Center, do not turn into this entrance. Continue another mile on Bettis Tribble Gap Rd to the next traffic light. Turn right onto Spot Road. The Visitor Center is about 500 yards on your right.



From North Georgia - Take GA-400 South and turn right onto GA-369 (Browns Bridge Rd). Go approximately 1 mile and turn left on Hwy-9 South (Dahlonega Hwy). Go approximately 1 mile and turn right onto Spot Road. The Visitor Center will be approximately 2 miles on your left. The trailhead entrance on Bettis Tribble Gap Rd. can be accessed by continuing past the Visitor Center and taking a left at the next traffic light. The entrance is located approximately 1 mile on the left.
